I have a new 06 Evo 9 and I have heard that there is some type of launch control on the car in the Stock ECU. Every time I try to launch it will spin and then just bog right down to the begging of the RPM's. By doing this mod that removes the rev limit will this also make me be able to launch my car. If not does anyone know how to fix this problem or has a link to another thread that explains how to get the Evo 9's to launch?

Removing the limiter won't make you able to launch your car. It will just allow you to start your launch at a higher rpm than 5k. The rest is up to your ability...

The IX has no problem with launching - it's just you don't know how to do it yet. There are many, many threads that talk about how to launch. In fact, we just had one a few days ago...

It looks like he is trying undo this modification that someone prevously did. He can't use ecuflash or tratrix cable if someone already disabled the rev limiter.

Maybe if you weren't so quick to call him a noob, you could have taken time to comprehend what he was asking.
