Car Bog during launch

My buddy decide to call me out to the street drag at a race track. I was racing with another fellow Evo 8. I did poor last night. 2 times I launch, no launch was just normal rev and go, car bog then pick up boost after the other car is 2 car ahead of me. Second I launch and same thing. Third, I just let him win because there is no way I want to race again.

I think I found my own answer. Prior to the race, I found that my INTAKE pipe where the coupler goes to the turbo inlet was loose and I was going to tighten that the same day except I had no time so I just went without tighten that sucker. I believe that might have thrown my MAF to read in correctly, therefore causing the bog? Hope it's not any things.

Anyone?

When you tried to launch the car were you on the 2-step? What RPM do you have it set at? I have never launched my car and dont plan to as I cant afford a new clutch or whatever else I may break but it sounds like your launching at too low of an RPM or are not slipping your clutch properly thus causing the car to bog.

Well, I tighten the clamp today. Took her for a spin and she pulls hard as before. Just need to finish my tune after a couple upgrades I put in. Also want to go e85 too so I'm going to do it at once when I get my new injectors. You guys think PTE 1000cc will do fine for a 430hp range? or should I go with PTE1200?

You should be fine running the 1000cc injectors for 430 whp, and a little room for more.
