I was thinking maybe blowbye, or oil coming out of the crank breather line. How long has it been since you changed your oil? With those mods your ready for a larger turbo, make sure the oil lines you get are suficient for the oil flow. nothing worse then a line thats to small so the oil cooks and chunks in the lines.

AHHHH freshly built. In that case im just going to guess that its the normal brake in smell of the motor. Rings seating ect ect. I wouldnt hit full boost yet though, let those bi*ch*s set good. But after that id say its just the fresh motor smell Granted it was built correctly and isnt burning now lol

3K miles is well beyond break-in on that motor. Just check under the hood for any oil that might have come off the breather. You proly just need a catch can.
