coolant smell

So lately I've been smelling coolant when I start my car up. I checked for leaks and found a small leak a few months back but fixed that issue and even had mitsu do a coolant flush at 36k, they didnt notice any leaks either. There isn't any oil in my reservoir, no coolant in my oil, no white smoke and not seeing any leaks now. Any ideas what it could be? Also at idle or parked I smell it and my temp goes to the middle of hot and cold . When I'm driving it will drop down one notch. Didn't know if this was normal or not. Thanks for any help

Where was the coolant leak? It could just be from the last leak you had. As long as the gauge is in the middle, you're fine. It'll rise slightly at idle since the air isn't moving. Keep an eye on the radiator to see if fluid seems to be disappearing.

Invest into a coolant leak test so you can pressurize the system and really know if you have any leaks or not. They are inexpensive and can really help you on the long run
