I have a helix 3" dp and a helix hf cat on my stock turbo'ed 03. my downpipe rattles against the 2 lower braces. I have heard that the cusco unit will eliminate this...looking for someone that has had this same issue or knows if the cusco unit hangs lower than the stock 2 crossbars..

Just get spacers (thick washers) for the screws that attach lower braces to the car. Much cheaper and works like a charm.

 

I thought my dp was hitting the lower tie bars also, but it turns out it was hitting the heat shield around the factory cat. Not questioning your judgement, just offering a suggestion, can you see any rub marks to verify it really is the lower tie bars that are rubbing?

 

mines rattleing against something not sure what, it didnt rattle when i had a greddy TI catback, it rattles now that i have a hks exhaust

 

can't be the cat...don't have one(helix hf cat if you want to call it one). no heat shield. it is hitting the tie bars.

my original question still stands. does the cusco bar hang lower and allow for more clearance for downpipes?
