But yeah, things are falling into place about my theory. Now I just need to see a "stage 50" or something IX to see if I'm completely right.

Is your theory that after they go to an upgraded turbo the IX will be virtually identical in output to the VIII? That is reality, not sure what your theory is.

The great advantage of variable valve timing on a car with performance mods is that you can get a much nicer idle with agressive cams than you can on a car without variable valve timing. Ask anyone who has been tuning the WRX STi's for a few years.

Yes......this is NOTHING new at all. The honda guys have been doing this for years now, why everyone is so surprised is beyond me. Again fourdoor my thoughts exactly.

Nick@ precision dyno did confirm that the turbo is the main reason these IX's are making this kind a power, so yes in reality after an upgraded turbo on the IX, it will be like the VIII

Hmmmmmm....... first this^. And now your opinion has suddenly changed.

Oh, ok well as long as Nick@ precision confirmed, I guess its right then. I guess even with dyno graphs to prove it, Pure Tunings claims just arent believable. I have nothing but respect for the guys at precision because its obvious they know what they are doing. I also know that PURE is not a well known shop, but the fact that there were extensive dyno results posted, just tells me that some members are just a bunch of A$$ Kissers, and in order to be believed, you must be a known on this forum, despite having proof to back up your data!

I am glad that all this info is available. I appreciate the many graphs posted by Pure and Precision. I am contemplating the 9 for spring and will continue to watch for results from well known tuners as well as good tuners who have had as little exposure as Pure. Please keep up the good work.

What about the new ECU with its several maps? Maybe the stock ECU semi-"tunes" itself now once parts are added?

Not trying to stirr any **** or anything but,my opinion still hasnt changed, I still think those numbers are a bit high. What they did on the dyno WITH a tune seems more realistic, this is what i think IMO...

Thread closed. PURE whatever is not a vendor on this site and they have no less then 3 accounts posting in here plus previous one that are most likely breaking the duplicate account rules. Multiple accounts per person or organization is reserved for vendors of this site.

Thank you
