Highest WHP on a 3076R

Reason I ask is I will be doing a 2.4 4G64 or 2.3 stroker from AMS and was thinking this might be an awesome setup. I want to go 35R, but I really miss the stock torque and grunt down low. Oh I am also at almost 6000 FT above sea level. So lets here what everyone is making!!

On DSMs the same "level" turbo can produce over 500whp on a stroker motor. Not by much but they are capable of it.

Remember it depends on what version you are running of the GT3076. There are I think 3 or more different sizes of CHRA's for the GT3076. The most common is the -12 & -15 which are the exact same size turbine and compressor just different CHRA numbers. They are built for 520-530 hp. The -11 CHRA is probably more like 500hp and the big -13 CHRA is for 600hp.

True, but I think most people with the RnR, AMS, Buschur are running the same/similar setup.

I am running the BR500bb (GT3076) with the small turbine on it. Best mph as been 122mph and best et on pump gas/alky and 25 psi was 11.54. When I put race gas in and ran the boost at 29psi I only made one pass and backed off at the the 1000' mark to avoid getting kicked out and ran a low 11.60 @ 112mph.

This is not true. Buschur is using a custom backside on his. RnR throws on whatever GT3076 they can get a hold of on there kits. If you could survey all the GT3076 owners, I bet you would find a wide range of different variaitions of -numbers. Most owners probably have no idea what spec there GT3076 turbo is anyways.

As for power, Garrett claims 500hp for GT3076-12. Seems reasonable to me.

If I use the half assed horsepower calculator it comes out to 535hp @ the crank and 454 @ the wheels. Probly not all that far off in my guess.

really good turbo. Who cares what's the peak power. what you really want to see how stable the powerband are. ad this turbo does the job really well. other turbo give you peak WHP towards the end when you getting ready to shift gear which is worthless.

Another ad hominem attack on RNR. Gotta love it. Who cares about facts (see RNR's post), right?

Out of curiosity when do you see full boost. I was wondering how big a difference would be from here vs sea level.
