signs of a leaking BOV?

okay i am not the kind of guy that goes out and buys **** just cause it sounds good, so witht that said i really need to know if my BOV is leaking, i set my MBC at 20psi, and i did it just like the turbo smart side to do it, from the wastegate to the turbo intake housing. but when i get to 20psi, the psi will drop to 18psi then go back then it will drop to 14psi or 10psi once or twice at highter rpms..... what the hell is wrong with my car........

sounds like you might need a heavier spring in your mbc, or maybe to hook the mbc by connecting from the bov and wastegate

Bench test your BOV:
  1. Remove BOV.
  2. Attach an air source to the nipple and inlet of BOV (use your imagination on the rig, if you lack the creative area of the brain, don't bother)
  3. Attach a latex glove on the outlet (tape so it's air tight)
  4. Apply pressure and monitor psi, the glove inflates when the valve opens.
Monitor the psi where the valve opens. Slight leaking beforehand is normal as long as it's just a hiss.

pretty inventive..

I would just to a simply boost leak test at the turbo, takes less than 5 minutes and you will know for sure if you have a leak..
