Which Vendors Sell *9.8 hotside and *Studs

Little bit of bad luck in doing the manny swap this weekend and now I've got an exhaust leak from hates... I don't want the 10.5 (it makes "dynoqueen" hp and creates turbo lag over the 9.8; plus I've got an '03 Evo). I know Buschur is selling a ported/coated 9.8 hotside - but anyone else. Thanks in advance (I've got to resolve this issue ASAP).

I've got a practically new turbo from my 03 (replaced under warranty and I have about 1000 miles on the new turbo0. Yours for $350 plus shipping. This way you don't need to go through the trouble of taking apart the hotside.

i disagree with ur 10.5 hotside theory on lag. i dont think ull be able to notice the difference in lag unless u think in slow motion, because the difference is barely noticable!

Yea I have the 10.5 and my friend has a 9.8 and its barely noticeable. The 10.5 you can feel has better midrange for sure though.

You just went around the world with that contradition in terms...
The diff is there. I care about low end torque and transient boost response; not "dynoqueen" horse power. Call me crazy but I prefer having a "faster" car over a more "powerful" car

Bushur estimates a whopping 5hp diff between the 10.5 hotside and their 9.8 "ported/coated" hotside.

I save $100, have less lag, and better low end torque

I can't see lag being more than 200 rpms at the most. And how many people use low end torque in an evo, its not a truck. I for sure would rather have better power above 4k then below.

I've got great power above 4K (ss tubular manifold and 264/272 cams, plus tbe w/ hfc), I just want the "power" to start earlier.

hows this for a contradiction on words...i understand u want a "faster" car over a more "powerful" car, but if ur comparing the two, the more powerful car would be the faster car!
so i still stand by more original statement by the way which was u cant possibly notice the difference. ive driven both and 05 and i have an 03 an we have the same mods and i cant notice much a difference in lag, but he definitly has me top end.
