Question Evo 8 Boost
VERY INTERESTING THINGS HAPPENS
MY STOCK EVO HAD 12PSI OF BOOST
AND MY FRIEND`S EVO HAS 19PSI

I KNOW THAT STOCK BOOST IS 12 PSI
AM I RIGHT?

wrong, 03 and 04 boost at 19psi and 05 and evo 9 boost at 20.19psi. if you are boosting 12psi either you have a boost leak, Boost controller install wrong, or cheap boost gauge.

not on u.s. models. ours is 19 stock, tapering to around 16.

Dang 23? Stock? My 05 hits a lil above 20, and then goes down to about 16.

heh i guess i wasnt crazy with my 05 last time i posted about my boost levels. My evo spikes up between 22 to 24 psi 2nd gear and higher depending on weather and falls down to about 16.5 psi. I guess i wasnt the only one with weird boost levels.

no ****ing way, the stock evo turbo are not made to boost over 20 psi. no matter how you tune it it always taper down. even with AEM EMS. this have been tested too on my friend evo. Right with 04 turbo on race race gas i would boost 25 lbs taper down to 20psiby redline and 19psi by 7423rpm, this bas eon zeitronix datalog
if you think looking at your gauge is your answer, well i'm speechless.

12 psi? somethings is very wrong.......probably a bad hook up or boost loeak somewhere...???..........i spike at ~20.5 and taper to about 18........

Thats not true. All i have is an intake, bov, exhaust and dynoflash and mine hits 22 and stays there- no taper. actually i have a greddy profec b boost controller, but it did that before that was installed too. the profec b just allows me to adjust my max boost.

show me some source of log, or video of your gauge with the tach in it. ask anyone like Turbotrix, RRE, Works, Buschur. they will tell you. I'm not sayin it couldn't be possible, but like i said show me prove
