Which air and fuel ratio?

With my modifications (see my signature)which a/f radio should be safe to run with open throttle (to the floor). I think i am to rich, in 5 gear i am running about 10.1 and i am going to lean a little bit. i am using 93 octane.

11.5 to redline is generally safe. If you are running 10.1, you will see nice gains from leaning to 11.5

You need some logging gear to see what really going on. What do you have now?

If you are in hot weather..I would say 11.1 if you are using stock ecu...ecu has a correction factor I am assuming and when the temperature changes and it gets colder outside the ecu will lean the car out...therefore you have room to compensate for that correction factor.

10.1 is pretty rich. 11.1 to 11.5 is what you should shoot for.

I'de go for 11.8. No higher than 12.0 though, just to be safe with the colder weather. 12.0 is safe but I would go a little under to be even more safe. No need to be around the tens... ie. 11.0-11.1. I think thats too rich.

11.1 is safe for 91oct and 11.5 is on the aggressive on 93 octane. I run alky full time at 11.5 on the street, at the track I go to 12.0 while on alky.

anything above 11.5 on just regular 93 pump is already pushing it... your engine is going to take some abuse from high EGT's if you run that everyday.

How do you know? Why do you think that? I think it would depend on what mods he has, ie. 3" exhaust, larger o2 housing, etc.

Edit*** I just actually looked at his mods and he does have a turboback exhaust. He does not however have the larger o2 housing, or he doesnt list it. We dont know his EGT's so theres no way to know.

It doesn't matter what mods you have. That afr is going to produce high EGT's overtime you will melt a piston. I am assuming he is going to tune for daily driving. Anything over 11.5 without alky or race gas is pushing it on 93 octane IMO.

Ok, we I will tune for what I want and you can tune for what you want. I dont want to argue with you, its kinda pointless. Plus, I might need your help someday with the MAFT pro translator lol, so I dont want to argue. 11.5 is safer, but I'm just saying 11.8 is what I go for and I believe its safe.
