I am running .28 gap right now and everything seems to be working great. I have a concern about the DSM ignitor. It took me a while to locate the part. I was wondering if there was some kind of other ignitor that would work well with my setup. Maybe something I can easily get at a GM parts store.

Jack:

Will those Viper ignitors work for me?

yeah, .28 gap is working good for me....as i have heard .28 to .30 be the norm with ignition amplifiers and meth. at hight boost.

did you not weld a bung onto your i/c pipe for your IAT sensor? Looks like you threaded it right onto the alum. piping.....yikes?!

I posted some questions on the msd forums. One of their techs had this to say

"When you connect the DIS 2, make sure the ECU's output is set at a constant charge @ 2 to 2.5Ms at battery amplitude."

....

WTF does that mean. Someone please translate that english for me

you can use a DSM ignitor but I have gone thru 3 of them. They don't last very long. He is using a dodge viper ignitor but I have no clue what the part number is.

btw i don't recommend this for a daily driver. the MSD has a misfire at 3k that you can't do anything about. It gets kind of annoying after a while. At WOT is where this thing shines.

Joey,

Do you have a diagram for wiring the ignitor to the stock harness?

everything you need to wire this up is in the first post. Just don't connect the tach driver.

well i still use it when i go autox or something but i hate driving around with it. to make matters worse my stationary rev limiter doesn't work because of a bad speed sensor. So the only time i can ever launch properly is with this connected.
