Search Google, thats how I found one.. But it turns out the parts are available through Nology (labeled as their own) they have one two and three channel ignitors and wiring harnesses for them. They don't recommend using them with a CDI, but the way we wire up the CDI is after the ignitor so it won't hurt it.

Honestly the CDI isn't really necessary.. Its good if you run really cold plugs and get a bunch of misfire at idle. If you have good coils, they will fire and recycle with plenty of voltage and high RPM, most CDI systems boost the voltage to the coils which is why they burn out the transistor ignitors on coils that have the ignitor integrated.

The setup I'm testing right now is... HKS DLI2 -> Ignitor -> 4 300m coils on a plate Its wired in such a way that I can remove the DLI2 at any time if necessary, or remove the COP plate at any time and put the stock coils back on.. This was due to my belief that you make modifications easily servicable if you have a problem you can easily swap it out.

This stuff and how its wired has been discussed in dozens of threads, so this one wasn't necessary to revive..

HOWEVER, the MSD is not the best choice for our cars.. as mentioned there is a misfire issue reported by several people. Also, it has a ton of features that you'll never use, and therefore your spending money on something you'd never really need.

I've seen one guy use two MSD 6a boxes (one for each channel) however I never heard if it worked.. you need to focus on parts that are already proven to work. Even the AEM C2DI had problems (mostly due to manufacturing though)

If your using a COP setup without the stock ignitors, you can use almost any amplifier if you can get it set up right.. Which means most need an ignitor to convert the trigger signal, but not all of them required it.

im curious about this 'misfire' issue...

i too am running the msd box with my COP setup.
...
...
usually when im going down the interstate at around 70ish (3k rpm) ill get a misfire/stumbling. but its usually only in 5th gear. is this the issue everyones referring too?

other than that, my setup works flawlessly. it does not like cold weather whatsoever, so until the car is completely warmed up, its a little notchy.

no way around the 3k misfire. it is real annoying. I don't use the the MSD for daily driving at all because of it. Cold start does suck as well for me.

msd has some feature where it uses a stronger spark or something under 3k. When it transitions out of the feature is where the problems start

does anyones ignition seem to have a mind of its own?

the past few months, ive had basically zero problems. no stupid 3k misfire, at least not on a regular basis. then, the last couple of days it would misfire in almost any gear and between 2500-4000. then all of the sudden today, its fine again.

i went in to get a new set of plugs cuz i figured maybe id swap em out ...but then it was just fine. wtf? haha

Bring it back to life

So best to use

300m coils (anyone have a Chrysler part number?)
Viper or DSM ignitor

Where do you get ahold of the connectors for the coils & ignitor?
