Just wondering how many who has alky also has some sort of ignition amplifier like the HKS DLI II? I had a problem boosting over 23 psi...think that the water is putting the fire out or maybe the increase charge density is making it harder for the arc to leap the gap.

 

i ahev the dli2, but i have a friend/customer and my co worker both run 30 psi daily with NGK BPR8ES. with no problems. the only difference is I run a .028 gap and they have to run .022. Its a good idea but probably not your problem

 

I have the same setup with 100% VP alky, and the HKS DLI II. the plugs gapped out of the box at .030, I put them down to .026 and the problem went away. how often do you change the plugs? what is the gap?

 

i got the ngk iridiums 7ix......changed it less than ~10K miles ago.....i think. I need one. There is a XS engineering one out there for less......any good?

 

meth, bpr8es plugs at .28 and hks amp...... runs great

 

Meth Bpr8es .028 and Aem's ignition amp on msd coils, @ 25-30psi. Runs awesome.

 

I have Meth/H2O mix (running about 15% meth to fuel ratio), boosting to 25-28, redline at 8000 using my home built COP.
I've run my NGKBPR7EIX as big as .035 without a miss for a month. I'm running them at .030 now. Took them out after a few weeks, looked good as new.
I used to get the high boost/rpm miss and had to gap down to .022 and still had occaional miss and idled like crap.
