Price for valve spring install

I was planning on getting new valve springs and retainer when I put my cams in. What is a reasonable price to pay for the springs and retainer along with the cams?

It depends on how they do it. Most shops will want to pull the head off the engine to replace the valve springs. While that is the right way, it's time consuming and the labor will be expensive. There are some short-cuts, but if done wrong they can also lead to problems down the road.

If you're planning on going with HKS cams, you are probably best off keeping the OE valve springs in place unless you're planning on eventually modding the engine into the "outragous" range. If that's the case, just leave the OE springs until it's time to pull the head for porting.

I would suggest leaving the stockers unless you plan on building the motor to rev out higher than 8k
