Case Study # 115 - Evo-NY member 086 - (a/k/a "E1" a/k/a Henry) - Massive TQ - TME

Here is one of the NY City area's most advid Evo hobbiests Henry - a great looking machine for sure

Here are proud Evo member Henry's power mods

TME Turbo
Coated DP header
264 HKS cams
3 " JIC full Ti exhuast
Ralli art fmic pipes
Stock fmic
SMC Alcohol kit
Walbro pump - 720 injectors
APS BOV
FORGE UNOS MBC

This car was the first to recieve the new Dyno Flash custom tune with TWO STEP boost rasing launch control feature

Here is the dyno sheet - low boost - 93 octane pump gas

We had some issues with his NOLOGY spark plugs which prevented us from raising the boost a bit higher - we had to lower it down to get a smooth curve

NOLOGY has proven to be total garbage and has created only problems - the stock wires - which I use on my 9 second race evo work fine

This car is going to make a LOT more power in the near future - I am having him come back with some stock spark plug wires so we can raise up his boost higher without miss fire

I think a lot of his high TQ has to do with the way the TME turbo spools faster and also the 264 cams

With higher boost it will pick up some more power on the top end

Looks like big torque for only 1000 rpms before it falls off a cliff.... Al, you list that the car has an SMC Alky kit in his list of mods, but then you say this dyno is on just 93 octane. Is it 93 with Alky?

Well, I stand corrected. If that torque was made on pure 93 octane that IS impressive.

tq seems to be where it should be, but the hp seems a little low for the TME, cams, and alcohol..

It is probably the nology wires as you said Al, since you couldnt turn the boost up and take full advantage of the alcohol..

E1 a/k/a Henry is one of the most avid Evo fans I have met - this is a man that loves his machine

I can not wait for him to return so we can turn up the boost with the stock wires and a new set of plugs

BTW - Henry - I would suggest you consider a HKS Twin Fire plug in ignition if its within your budget - I think your car will go near 400 whp on the alcohol and a strong spark is always a plus

I know that Buschur Racing has a few of these hard to find ignitions in stock
