Road Race Service Review...

I wanted to thank Roadrace Service( http://www.4g63.com )for getting my car out during the holiday weekend. Robert Garcia worked right through thanksgiving and the weekend to get me my car back. I call that service above and beyond. If that wasn't enough, he opened his shop at 10pm on SUNDAY NIGHT to let me get the car and stayed around while so we could do a final checkout of the new setup.

The best part is everything works and he kept my "looks like stock" setup exactly the same as when I left the car with him. I went to a lot of trouble to make things look stock with custom cold air that uses the stock airbox, custom manifold that fits under the heat shield etc. cdi setup and so forth. A lot of stuff is one off and unique to my car alone.

Everything is right where it is supposed to be and the new motor works great! I got exactly what I wanted without surprises and everything just works. I cannot recommend RRS and Robert Garcia highly enough for custom engine building needs. They have quietly built some amazing motors for other shops and are all about the motor not the hype.

Here is what the new setup looks like:

Looks stock and is quiet + is my daily driver...

Thanks again to RRS

you're missing a couple of heat shield bolts on the turbo and a pop rivet on the air intake snorkel. Maybe this was a picture taken mid install prior to completion? If it's the final version, I hope that's all that is missing.

I am running a fully built 4g64, turbo, head, aem ems, sheetmetal intake, 272's cdi, custom stainless 321 manifold that fits under the stock heat shield, tial for a few of the mods so I don't think the pop rivet or extra bolt hole is the point...

If you want it to look stock, then the missing heat shield bolts to me is a dead giveaway that something is amiss under that same shield. If you have a sheetmetal intake (which you can't see from the angle of the picture), then it obviously doesn't look stock to the halfway trained eye.

So is the point to look stock or make gobs of power, I'm confused now. I bet the car does make a boatload of power though with those mods, but it isn't a sleeper imo. Which I thought was the original point of this thread.

The point is that Roadrace Service did a standup job for me with my new motor

It may not be sleeper in your opinion because you know what you are looking for...Another thing to think of is that he is from California so he needs to worry about the cops and modifications.
