I vote for the advanced engine/drivetrain forum. But you need moderaters there to kick threads back down to the basic engine/drivetrain forum. that takes time and energy

Energy I would gladly expend. I would happily be a single-forum moderator to facilitate this idea, since I understand how they wouldn't want me as a forum-wide mod.

LOl, warrtalon is online all day anyway, he has plenty of time to kick threads into the newbie forum, its really not a big deal because I think people would eventually get the hang of it. if one thread per day needs to be moved, its really not a big deal. and obviously there most likely wont be anyone posting advanced questions in the newbie forum, or maybe once a week tops, again not a big deal. Its a good idea where there is a wide array of people doing different things to their cars, i think it requires 2 separate forums.

some people want basic mods and keep stock turbowith a reflas vs. some people want 2.3L strokers and 35R's with AEM, etc...

these 2 people will have different needs and wants in a turbo/drivetrain forum. It makes perfect sense and works so well on dsmtuners.com which is also predominantly people doing heavy modifications to their cars. I just dont understand what the problem is

some people may want to ask that question and they can just see another thread that has the same info.
ok.. this seems like the easiest idea of em all. Lets brainstorm and think of a way to keep it at the level of expertise we want. We could try to make it invite only? Im just worried that people will start posting lots of stupid crap there as well.

Either we need to make a few moderators that we all know can keep it up to snuff or make the forum invite only or both. What do you guys think?

I would be down with a forum invite but how are you going to decide who has access and who doesn't? It would be a great resource place for many people who don't post a lot, like myself.

Well the least they could do is make another forum like Advanced Evo Tech and make a few mods to take care of it (Move newbie threads, etc). Its not like that is too much to ask for.

So what would it take to have the mods make a new section for Advanced Evo Tech and who should we have as the mods to make sure it stays at an advanced level?

honestly , if you dont like it dont read it. Also this thread is hypocritical in a way because its a waste of time much like my nephews and nieces fighting over why the other gets his way. WHO CARES! quit whining!
