Here is a perfect example: At this very moment these were the top 20 threads in engine, etc.

1.Poll: How Much Did Your Clutch Install Cost?
2.Best clutch for around $500

^amazing 2 clutch threads

3.HKS Carbon Ti Exhaust Owners Please Read
4.Injen IC Pipe Kit
5.SFI Certifications
6.Metal-substrate cat vs. old ceramic cat
7.The not-so-offical EVO 9 ECU tuning thread
8. 20G turbo upgrade from Buschur Racing
9.Banning "How do I/to get xxxHP?" threads <we are in this thread
10. Super charger/ Turbo pics
11.Fuses... Help.
12.how to install zeitronix zt2?
13.Problems with Turbo XS MBC.
14.Has anyone tried the Dejon Tool intercooler?
15. Truth Squad Poll: Have your Evo's adjustable cam gears failed
16.My Engine Meltdown!!!!!!!!!
17.JIC Headers!!!
18.Used cam wear question
19.Ingalls Stiffy Review <sptsi is the thread starter don't knock the stiffy
20.Exhaust comparisons.....you aren't getting what you paid for!

threads are in my eyes:

1, 2. This has been covered a zillion times and the thread started on Nov 29th 2005. I have seen at least 10 polls in the last year covering this topic- do a damn search

4. I dont have a problem with because Ultimate CC brought it back, thanks for you.

5- 10 Excellent questions
11. owners manual Matt, owners manual. Although he did find the faulty fuse and posted which one it is, nice job Matt
12. We have a how-to forum
13-15 regular questions
16 thank god this got locked
17-20 regular questions

This pretty much sums it up for me, I really don't have a problem with the top threads because the "How do I get xxxxxx" questions usually end up on the second page by the end of the day, no biggie.

NOLIMIT had a great idea and I wish the admin would see that we need this forum, invite only would be great. It would keep out the useless questions and most of us would/could/maybe be team players.

No kidding. But some of us want "real" info, not the typical "Whats this or that like?" "How can I do this?"

Remember it's not hard to use the search function IMO.

Fix the search function until it's actually useful and leads the seeker to good answers/info and you'll see these threads disappear by themselves....

youre right, but this is a FORUM. People come here and ask questions whether its dumb or not...we're all here to learn and share information. Yes those threads do get annoying, but theyre not annoying to a newbie...we cantBAN them. How welcoming to a newbie to wonderful world of EvoM

and also, "how do i get XXXHP?" can be interesting threads at times. People who have experience in building their evos can share their ways. There are always newparts and new tuners out there so those threads will have useful and different information from time to time...so banning these type of threads will be very stupid to do so...ON A FORUM.

This is the type of thing that I hate: This was a thread recently started....

"while trying to install my BOV today I went to remove the fasteners for the scoop and realized that they don't work the way that I thought.

any information on how to remove them would be great.

I figured they were like the 03 and 04 evo where you push the center down, but nothing seems to happen.

Thanks."

Come on now....

And to respond to RalliArt... If people have experience in building thier Evo they arent going to share every normal way (Like 3" Exhaust, Cams, Turbo, etc...). They SHOULD be posting things like.. xxx (part or service) yielded xxhp. They should do so when it is something that isnt plain obvious, like exhaust, etc etc... People should not be asking how to do it. They could simply read peoples modification lists and thier HP and figure out how to get it. It aint like they had a secret part giving them 50 more hp and they didnt note it.

And i agree... this forum is way to big to make solely for elite or experinced tuners, fabricators, engineers and builders. But it isnt too big to add a section for those people. This forum has so much traffic, so many users it is really a shame that it doesnt have more of those type people writing stuff. After all... who would you rather get your info from... Curt Brown, Shep, etc or Joe129zEvoGuyOwnerDude?

Again, that type thread is fine for a newbie type question but needs to be seperated from threads like "How to calculate VE".
