Truth Squad: Strenght Of ACD DIFF

from this tutorial https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=131349 in how-tos i see that they only removed the cover of the TC to reveal the factory diff. while the assembly was still in the car. which makes me think it shouldn't cost a gazzillion space bux? i know replacing the whole tranny in my teg cost $350 labor, and they had to remove all kinds of ish.

I thought you were talking about the front diff, sorry.

From your description it sounds like you're talking about the ACD unit, since Cusco makes LSD's and not carrier assemblies with spider gears, etc. I just want to be as clear as possible

(Should be less than they quote you for a clutch job) But try to remember, an Integra is a lot easier car to drop a tranny out of than an Evo. I know this by experience.

i'm thinking of having this done in a couple of years or so. so how much is too much for a quaiffe front lsd?
In a couple years???? Ok....
Right now, a reasonable price to pay is exactly what they sell for.... RRE sells them for $1475

The other option is dropping the whole TC and sending it to TRE www.teamrip.com to have a ralliard LSD installed. They charge $1000 installed, but then you have the labor of dropping the TC and the downtime. The choice is yours.

thanks Steve. yea couple of years
i'm keeping it stock for now (i know, i'm very patient), have other priorities, but when i get really tired of understeer on corner exits, it'll be just in time for that front LSD.
