I assume you have a boost gauge. Does it show anything abnormal when it hiccups? What kind of tuning device do you use? Does it throw a CEL?

Go to your local autozone/advance auto/pep boys and have them pull the code for free. If you want to see what your boost is doing that might help too. I know you're going pretty fast at 5k in 4th so it's hard to not watch the road but if you feel comfortable that may help diagnose the problem.

I highly suggest getting the code pulled though, more than likely that will answer all your questions. I take it the code appeared when the hiccup occured and not significantly before or after?

Not a great idea. The boost controller needs a pressure source before the throttle body, and ideally before the intercooler. The bov line comes off the intake manifold. It might work, but it won't work perfectly. You will also have more boost spiking before it settles if you hook it up that way. With the factory turbo, the should be a line off the lower IC pipe and and line off the wastegate. Those connect to each other and then T off to the boost solenoid. I don't know how your particular boost controller works but it still needs to be hooked up to the wastegate/LIC pipe to work correctly.

sound slike a boost cut. Do you have injectors yet? cuz if you get on it under load, you will hit fuel/boost cut without injectors.

Can also be a fouled spark plug. Fouled plugs will cause you to misfire and sometimes throw the random misfire code.

turn the boost controller down 2 psi, clear the code and try again. You're over bosting.

Doesn't matter the boost level... its all about the Karman reading iirc the factory will cut boost around 1750hz ... if the air is cooler and more dense the boost cut level lowers.

might be a misfire...might be hittin boost cut. As Doug said its all about the Karman reading. Have you had some sort of reflash done? If no - send your ecu out and get the boost cut removed by a reputable flash tuner
