You don't need an EBC. A regular MBC and boost gauge works fine and is preferred by most. Feel free to use an EBC if you want, though. The mods you planned before a tune are fine, but you got the intake first like everyone else. It is the least helpful, and the most harmful. It's nowhere near as helpful as an MBC or exhaust, so you should deal with those first, then get an intake if you absolutely have to right when you get tuned. I don't know what it is that pushes people to getting a Perrin intake, but I wish I could figure it out. It's like people just randomly migrate in that direction...not sure why. Also, the TXS TBE should be fine, but is there any reason you want to pay more for it than for others that cost less while providing the same power? Just curious...

They like the sound . Also, most people start w/ a Honda and in Honda World, an intake is the first thing most people do. Now does everyone (cept WarrTalon) know why an intake is OK for a Honda??.............

Cuz it has a MAP sensor measuring air intake instead of a MAF sensor.

nah, i don't think its ever 'useless'. even a flash on a completely stock car will free up a bunch of hp (the damn Evo9 has been adding 45whp completely stock with a flash.. grrr).

Personally i'm not a fan of flashes, so i bought an Xede first, so now i can retune on my own for every new mod i get. For anyone new to tuning, unless you live in the same town as a good xede/s-afc tuner, a flash is most likely the direction you will go.

I have the forge MBC and its the nuts so far

trouble finding exhaust info? wow just search and do some reading. there are millions of threads, and threads with just pics, and threads with soundclips, and norcalevo.net/forums has exhaust galleries with pics and movies.

and I think i have yet to see an exhaust that doesnt use all the stock mounting locations.. I went with Works/RRE/Espelir and made my own turboback. Sounds awesome and it was cheap.

You thought just the TXS bolted to the stock hangers? They all should.

I have the Megan 3" TBE, which only costs you $550 shipped through Zeus on this site.
