Running rich when shifting under full boost
Running rich when shifting under full boost
While driving under full boost, a buddy of mine noticed puffs of smoke coming from my exhaust just when I shifted, meaning I am possibly running rich. The only thing I have done to my car so far is just a K&N drop in, so basically stock. Does this sound normal, or could a cylinder head be sticking/possible rings going bad? Thanks in advance for your comments.

Same here, buddy followed me, I shifted on full boost, he told me I blew out smoke when I shifted. From what I understand they come from the factory rich and it is normal. I wouldn't worry, i'm not and mine is brand new.
It's better they run rich then lean. So mitsu makes em rich from factory so the dealerships aren't getting flooded with blown 4G's...
