what could be the possibility to make our car run super lean? i had checked the vacumm hose under the engine cover, it is pretty tight. i also ordered the new relay from ssp and they will be on this weekend. i m acutally doing etune, my tuner just trying to figure out the maf scaling for me. but i m just worry about the lean issue is causing by machanism instead of aftermarket intake. i was also thinging about boost leak, but my tuner said book leak will only cause the car run rich not lean.

Do you actually have A/F data from a wideband? I ask because I recently installed one after I noticed a bit of knock in the 5k area (just 1-2 counts here and there). It turns out my relay was bad. My A/F was way too lean under WOT (above 12.0) but my fuel trims were pretty much spot on. Replaced the relay... back to a nice safe A/F.

 

no, i dont have wb installed. thats the only thing i am concerning of because i dont see data from wb. my tuner Beeble( well known in all evo forms) is trying to figured out the intake scaling for me. i hope it is really the intake problem.

i had upto 5 knocks under wot with 3rd gear pulled. and my fuel trim is at 12.5 and 8.5 after i done the pulled log. i thought the relay problem only applied to 08-10 cars, mine is 12 model however i just bought the relay for safety purpose.
