Newest numbers from TopSpeed! - Now with Dyno Sheet

Ok so yesterday I did the flash and made 302whp and 311ft lb of tq up from the stock numbers of 274whp with 272ft lb tq.

Tonight after a 3inch exhaust and downpipe and a Forge manual boost controller the MR put down 340whp 329ft lb of tq at 21 lbs of boost. So the total mods on the car to date are

TopSpeed Ecuteck tune
3 inch exhaust and DP
MBC set to stock boost level

Thanks alot to Doug and the guys at TopSpeed. They did an awesome job with the car. It pulls insanely hard now in comparison to 2 days ago. The torque that it's putting out is just sick...

Hey, did I help at all?! Which exhaust did you get? When you say 3" exhaust and DP, what do you mean? The downpipe is part of the 3" exhaust. Do you mean a cat-back and downpipe with stock cat or is it a full TBE?

Btw, you're now making more power than I do on race gas when running 12.0s. I'm feeling sick.

I got a 3 inch DP, and HKS Hi-Power cat back exhaust. Still running the stock cat. It's pretty cool that the car is making this much power for not too much invested. You're probably still faster in the 1/4 mile because I'd probably have to shift one more time than you which will cost me time... There could be a bit more in an intake, but I'm pretty much done where I am now... I'm running stock boost and the engine is running great. No point in messing with it anymore... I should probably let it run this way for a while. It's only got 732 miles on the ODO. Thanks alot for your help Warrtalon. You gave me some good advice and the results speak for themselves.

Yep... still the stock cat... It rips incredibly hard. Making peak tq at like 3600 rpm... The horsepower is a steady increase until around 6500 and then it starts to level and taper off a bit. Absolutely nasty. As soon as a hi-flow cat is released for it, there's probably a few more ponies to be had. I'll probably just leave the intake stock as it seems the general census is that the gains aren't worth the investment. Perhaps a Works dropin eventually. Time to change the brake pads and upgrade to stainless lines...

Good God, this is on the stock cat??? Unbelievable...dude, that's another 10-15whp, haha. The downpipe isn't useful while still on the stock cat, but it may have provided a little better spoolup. Curious why you did the HKS, though, since that was about $200-250 more expensive and just as loud. What drove you to that decision?

Stock boost? You did say you have an MBC and that you were at 21psi, right? That's higher peak boost than stock, and obviously holds boost better and longer than the stock taper that goes down to 17psi, so I don't think you're at stock boost anymore.

Last thing is gearing. I also have an MR, so we have the same gearing. You wouldn't have to shift to 5th. Actually, you would never want to shift to 5th anyway...you do whatever it takes to make sure you can hold it in 4th the whole way. You'd only run out of gear if the EcuTek flash doesn't raise the rev limiter from its stock level of 7600. Regardless of whether you can match my times, you are making the same power, if not more. THAT is the scary part!

I got the HKS-Hi power and downpipe for 500. TopSpeed had a mildly used one that they hooked me up with. Those guys Rock!.. That's cool that it's a low 12 second car where it stands now Warrtalon. The car feels amazing now. Leave it in 6th on the highway and you've got TONs of passing power. The turbo lights off seemingly instantly and you're on your way. Sorry about the misinfo about it being stock boost. I thought that peak stock was 20.5 with a taper to 17. I just rounded up to 21 in my post... The 4g63 is an incredible engine...

I am cammed and dyno'ed on the same dyno and am not even making that power. Good freaking gosh, I am dyno'ing again when I get home to see if the cold weather has an "effect" even w/ the SAE correction.

Now, that's my kinda guy. Getting an HKS HI-power and DP used is the best way to do it. People pay more than $500 just for the Hi-Power new, but you got both the Hi-power and a DP (what brand?). Good move.

VTECH8TR, you talked to him on AIM, too?
