I am now worried about that it could be crankwalk as someone mentioned that this is symptom. Also, that the clutch may be compounding the problem.

The one thing that I've experienced that caused the car not to start was the timing belt jumping teeth...... It's possible that the belt tensioner was damaged during the cam installation... Some well know tuners have told me that they never re-use a timing belt tensioner. They always install a new one........

Would the car still run if it jumped a tooth? The car had a slight tapping sound when I pushed in the clutch right before it died.

If it was crankwalk you would hear it. I had crankwalk in my eclipse twice.

If it won't start anymore check your feul pump or fuses. Maybe it took a crap on ya.

Also check the timing like somebody else mentioned.

I don't know how many teeth it can jump before it wont start anymore... I guess it's possible that it jumped tooth which will not keep it from running, but then it jumped another tooth or more causing your problem.

I'm sorry but I don't have any theories about that. My experience was that the car was running OK for some time after Boost Solutions changed the cams, cam gears, AEM EMS and all the other mods they screwed up. I even went to the dyno with it where it made only 259 whp after thousands of dollars of mods and "tuning" . Then I took it to the bodyshop to repair some damage and it quit running at the body shop. Suddenly they were no longer able to start it. It would crank but it would not start. At first it would run for a few seconds and then it would not run at all.....

The first thing the tuner did was to blame me saying that I had sabotaged my own car . He never fixed it and I had it towed in a flatbed truck to Dyno4mance where Andrew immediately saw that the cam timing was way off (it was easy to see since Boost Solutions left the cam gear cover off...). He corrected the situation and replaced the tensioner. I had also consulted other well known tuners when I was desperate to get the car running again and while talking to all these ppl, I found out that it's very easy to screw up the tensioner during cam or cam gear installation. Apparently the tensioner is very easy to damage if not handled in a very specific manner during removal and re-assembly. Actually, a very respected and well known tuner told me that he "never" re-uses the tensioner once it's been removed. He said he always uses a brand new tensioner whenever the original is removed for any reason.

Thanks for the info silver, I am gonna ask my mechanic to check ou the tensioner. He was the one the installed the cams as well so he should know. I am very confident in this mechanic as he does a lot of work for Titan, but i will ask him to double check regardless.

The sensor got it started but its not running right. I took it to CFT today to get a reflash and it started to stall just like before, and the noise returned. Its a noise that sounds like a tapping which gets louder when i push the clutch pedal in. So i pulled it off the dyno and its going back to the mechanic tomorrow. It smells like something is burning on the engine bay. The saga continues...

Man that sucks .... I hope you get it sorted out soon. Have you tried putting the ECU back to stock? I don't know if it could work with the cams you have, but it might be some problem with the mods. Is the cam timing right?

I believe that the timing is on. I will have the mechanic double check that today. I had jestr double check the ecu and he was saying that it something mechanical. CFT mechanics were saying that it sounds like something tapping and the stock ecu pulls the timing. It dynoed at like 320, then 280, then 260 hp each run the power and tq decreasing. Hopefully it will be resolved.

I'll bet you it's 1 or more collapsed lifters/lash adjusters especially on the intake side. I had the same problem about a year ago. There are a lot of companies that you can get lifters from and to replace all 16 will take you about an hour.

I will mention that to the mechanic today. Once of the CFT mechanics said that it could be the lifters yesterday, but they were not sure. Thanks for the the suggestions/replies so far guys.
