4G64 vs. TOMEI crank

I'm building my engine this winter.

What shall I get?

- TOMEI 2.2l (94mm) stroker kit ~$5000
- JUN 2.2l (94mm) stroker kit ~$6000
- 4G64 2.3l (100mm) + Carillo H-Beam + CP ~$2200
- TOMEI 2.2l (94mm) + Carillo H-Beam + CP$4000

The JUN crank weigh 16kg, TOMEI 17kg and 4G64 ??kg.

Ate moment I think I will get:
- 4G64 2.3l (100mm) + Carillo H-Beam + CP ~$2200
to save some cash.

I have a Full Race GT35R kit and AEM.

Please advice me.

I say 4G64 just for the simple fact you can rev up to 9500 safely vs any stroker which if you run pass 8200 your running the risk of blowing the motor.

Skip the CPs, they suck for the Evo.
Go with Wiseco, they currently are making probably the best pistons for the Evo.

At those power levels and higher you need to get the right piston from Wiseco for the application. A majority of the pistons currently sold are really only good up to 600. A 2618 forging is required for the bigger power levels.

Here is my opinion on the state of the current piston market for the Evo

1. Wiseco
2. Mahle (when available)
3. Ross
4. JE
5. A paint can
6. CP

Seriously though I have seen and heard a lot of bad things about CP lately.
Wiseco usedto have a bad rep and JE had a good rep. Ironically that has changed roles even though they are the same parent company. I know a very good engine builder and his comments on Ross are they are junk, which is suprising but he also builds a lot of fast engines and sees all of these pistons regularly. Interestingly enough he has been doing more 4G63 engines lately and I know everyone will know his name soon enough.
