0.20" over headgasket question
Hello all, I just pulled my motor today, going with a 2.3 stroker kit manely billet crank wiesco 1400hd manely i beams (possibly Carillo)
my question is, with a 0.20" overbore, I obviouslt cant use the oem hg(i think?) what headgasket is most reliable after oem? I am not worried about the price, i just want a great oem like seal but for a 0.20" over block. thanks

Power enterprise makes a nice mls as well as the felpro permatorque either of those will work great. Dont buy a cometic they are a lot harder to get to seal. .20 over is 86mm for the 2.0 or 87mm for a 2.4 block.
The stock head gasket is slightly above 86mm, or 3.385 inches when i did my measurement.
My stock block was Bored 0.20 over putting it at 85.42mm, or 3.366 inches
So i stuck with the Stock Evo 9 Head gasket.
If it is the First time your engine is getting a Overbore done, then you will be fine.
But as always its best to take a measurement prior AND Post Machining.

A lot of people do just fine with the stock Head Gasket
