Warr, I am using the Megan Downpipe on the Evo 9, it works fine.

I have the megan DP on my 05 evo and it doesn't fit well without my heat wrap and lower tie bar. Did Mitsu change TC design on 9 ?

 

I don't but my friend does. He had the catback on his 05 before he put it on his 9. Fit with zero problems.

Uhm, that is strange.. The one thing I mentioned in the past is that the flex section on the Megan racing actualy touches the oil pan and the trasnfercase/tranny but definately I haven't had any issues touching the lower bars.

I might take a pic right now and post it.

 

All those pics. I have seen none so far which clearly shows metal on metal.

 

I had problems with my HKS downpipe rubbing the oil pan I just heated it and tweaked it a little everything else went on great though.

 

Well I have talked with Kevin at Megan Racing and he said that Megan DP has some fitment issues with late 05 VIII (after June or July 05) and IX...

but they are currently working on the new DP (same as their old one but will clears out the fitment issue) and the release date should be somewhere around late Jan 06 or Feb 06.



I cannot wait to get one..
