Wow, over 50whp with a 20 shot…. This is to good to be true..
A couple of questions because I have no experience with nitrous.

1. Where did you purchase the kit and how much?

2. Did an assortment of jets come with the kit or only the .020 jet?

3. Do you think you can use nitrous with alky?

4. As for the push button, how comfortable do you feel using it in a drag race?
For example, I would have a hard time to…Launch car…push button......release button.. shift to 2nd…push button......release button…shift to 3rd...

5. Is there a way to place the button (not trying to sound to F&F) on the steering wheel or even apply the button behind the gas peddle so it can activate at wot?

1. Compucar nitrous in a bag and about 350

2. It comes with jets for 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100hp

3. I would only use nitrous with race gas since we are already pushing a good amount of boost.

4. Once I got used to the botton I wouldnt want it anyother way. In our mustang I have tried it both ways, and actually like it better with the botton. If you want a wot switch you can do this by using a micro switch at the t-body or under your gas pedal, or they have ones that go off tps.

5. You can have it come on with a WOT switch or use the botton

This kit is for people that dont use it all the time. And its cool because you can throw it in just about any car within minutes. But if you plan on going through bottle after bottle I would do something more permantent like the setup I was running on the mustang

And a familiar shot to most cars in the area

Depends on what size shot you plan on running. But I havent had the chance to try it out on the evo yet. We got rained out from the track last weekend. On the mustang with the 60 shot it felt as if you had just been rearended once you hit the go botton

Go put a clutch in that car! What I woiudn't give for raceable weather here in NJ. Your aggrivating my cabin fever with all this nitrous talk, I can't wait to get my bottle filled and set some new times.

Please update us with how much of a gain each shot was worth, and what happened wiht the A/F ratio. Im super interested.

350 for that setup, this is very tempting.

Nitrous or Meth injection, i've never had somthing so hard to decide over!

Also, you said that you should only use nitrous on race gas? Why not pump gas?

i believe u have to use race gas with this setup because there is no other source of fuel management the way he did it. If u did a wet-shot u could use reg, gas, or if u tuned this setup with even an s-afc, im sure u could use reg.
Anyone more knowledgable care to take a stab at this?

Its the same reason that you wouldnt try running 40psi on pump gas. DETONATION IS BAD. ESPECIALLY WITH THE AMOUNT OF CYLINDER PRESSURE YOUR CREATING WITH THE TURBO AND NITROUS.

No its not because its a wet or a dry kit. You can only make so much cylinder pressure before getting preignition on pump gas. If you want to take the chance with detonation, then you can use what ever gas you want. But since the car is already turbocharged I would never run nitrous with it unless I ran race gas. Because boost + nitrous + detonation = very bad motor noises

Wet or dry the car is still getting extra fuel or you would not make anymore power. Its just added in a different manner. A dry kit adds the extra fuel needed through the injectors, and a wet kit adds it through a jet in the intake system, kind of like an extra fuel injector.

Please dont state your opinion if your not educated on nitrous.

And I have an s-afc.

I may not know as much as others about this, but thats why i am here. So i can learn. I have installed a wet-kit before on a Spec-V, and it worked great. I understand completely how it worked too!
Ur setup im just not so sure of, I think DSM motorsports was kinda saying the same thing.

i started over and read this again. I guess im just not so sure if the maf will be adequate fuel management for this application. The temp drop would increase air volume, so the car would run richer. i would like to see ur a/f ratio across your dyno sheet though.

I will have to get a print out of the a/f. The maf is handling it just like it should.

For some reason turbo cars love nitrous... A buddy of mine had a 50 shot on his gen 1 with a 16g and dam man that 50 shot was more like 115hp extra on the dyno.. very long time ago..I couldnt believe it
