Dyno numbers with a small shot

This was done with a simple dry 20 shot before the maf. We couldnt hit the juice until after 5000rpms or it would just spin the clutch. And Im pretty sure thats why the torque wasnt to impressive.

Those runs were both done on the same day. The test run was on the sauce.

What do you guys think?

I cant wait to go back to the track

Big ups to Paul from EIP Racing

How did you add fuel? Was the tuning changed?

He said that he sprayed before the MAF so in theory the MAF would register the increase in air, due to the NO2, and richen it up. I've heard of lots of people in the LS1 world doing this and it works quite well.

I'm really interested in this. I'd like to hear more from others who are thinking or have done this. Sounds like a fairly safe way to make some power on a proper set up?

im not sure about spraying before the maf, because every time a small shot of nitrous is brought up, usually everyone agrees on a wet shot. They feel that this is the easiest and safest way to run a small shot, without worrying about any tuning whatsoever.

Easiest and safest? Have you installed any nitrous kits? Easiest hands down is what im running. I can install the entire kit in less than 15 minutes. As where my last wet kit took over 12 hours to install.

And imho if your going to run anything under a 100 shot do it dry. On a dry kit if your sellinoids dont fire then you just dont get nitrous. Now lets say your fuel sellinoid doesnt fire on a wet kit. What happens? You dont have to worry about the fuel puddling up in the intake on a dry kit. And with a dry kit your bottle pressure only limits your hp not safty.

This is why people are so afraid of nitrous. Its usually people telling other people what "they say"

Now if you want to run a big shot hands down do a direct port wet kit. But for this application dry is the poop.

Bingo hes got it. As soon as the nitrous hits the car actually runs richer.

Everytime I have added nitrous to a supercharged or turbo'd car it picks up at least 2 times what a NA car would. For some reason the evo really liked it. I should have said that I used a .020 nitrous jet (which most would call a "20 shot")

Im running a dry shot on my evo8 too, but using the EMS to add in additional injector puslewidth. Are you making any adjustments to your engine management or fuel pressure, or is the temp change in the maf sufficient?

Have you tried a larger hit?

As soon as I decide what Im going to do about a clutch I will be trying the 40 and 60 pill.

But No I dont have to adjust for the nitrous. I just run my street tune which isnt as agressive as the race gas settings. As soon as the maf see's it the computer adds the needed fuel.

This is the same way I run it on my cobra. Its target a/f was 11.7 and as soon as the juice would come in it would drop to 10.0 a/f to redline. And that is with a 60 shot.

And I have even done this on my gmc 6.0 truck with the 100 shot.

Guys run up to 150 shot this way on the ls1 powered cars.

Here are some pics of my setup. All you have to do is run a plastic line up to the air filter, plug into your cig. lighter, open the bottle, and push the botton.
