Whether you want low down grunt or not, you will still rev to whatever rev limit you have said earlier and the highlift cams will make power across the board. Running stock cams with your engine mods is just like choking it ultimately. Run a set of Tomei 260 Pro cams or HKS 264's, the increase will be rewarding enough for what you want for torque in the midrange. Without cams you're down by 30 WHP easily. On reason why you're tuner may be running into problems with theTomei 280's is that they have so much lift and duration and if you don't cam time them correctly, you will have trouble tuning the car. Put a set of HKS 264's in the stock timing position and he should have no trouble at all.

One other thing about the Tomei 280's, they make it in hydraulic lifter or solid lifter spec. You have to specifiy which one and if you're running the stock lifters, you better make sure you're using the correct camshafts.

If you are going to use Methanol you have to upgrade your fuel system/lines heavy! using methanol take 2 times more methanol to reach the same amount as regulare fuel.

Sounds great!

Garage G Force in Japan holds the record for having the fastest Evo in Japan with a quarter mile time of 9.7 secs at 148 mph without nitrous. The car was brought into Malaysia at Sepang F1 circuit earlier this year and competed in the local drag events and posted a 9.9 sec @ 145 mph quarter mile time on a non prepared tarmac surfaced track. We had the luxury of racing our Evo against it and although we ran a 10.4@ 143 mph, it was no match for them due to their super quick Ralliart Hollinger made dog box transmission putting them in the 9's easily. Their car was running a JUN 2.2 stroker equipped with Tomei 280 cams with a HKS GT3540 and HKS V PRO ecu. The car is estimated to have 750 hp at the engine running 35 psi of boost. You can try to contact them will need a moderator as they don't speak any English.

Go for JUN Auto Mechanic in Japan. Our Evo 6 TME now has 788awhp on only a T04S at 2.2 bar only! Our Evo 6 TME uses a JUN engine with a JUN stroker kit, JUN intake plenum, main studs, conrods, etc.

Our GTR also uses all JUN parts and now has 857awhp but thats only at 2bar boost. imagine if we turn up the bar to 3. nice parts and great choice for the motec M800. get also the motec PLM and motec CDI 8.

  1. Arias Forged Turbo Pistons
  2. Tomei Forged Connecting Rods
  3. ARP Head Bolts
  4. Tomei Metal Head Gasket
  5. Tomei Titanium Retainers
  6. Tomei Valves & Valve Springs
  7. Tomei Adjustable Cam Gears
  8. Greddy T67 Turbo
  9. Greddy Stainless Steel Manifold
  10. Greddy Adjustable Wastegate
  11. Greddy Blow-Off Valve
  12. 255 Litre/Hr Fuel Pump
  13. SARD High Flow Fuel Rail
  14. Power Enterprise 1000cc Injectors
  15. CPR Fuel Pressure Regulator
  16. Greddy Oil Catch Tank
  17. Trust Type R Adjustable Wastegate
  18. Greddy Downpipe
  19. Greddy 3" Titanium Exhaust System
  20. Airnix Foam Filter Intake
  21. Blitz Aluminium Radiator & Silicone Hoses
  22. Trust Intercooler Kit
  23. OS Giken Double Plate Clutch
  24. TEIN Adjustable Coilovers
  25. HKS Turbo Timer
  26. Defi Link Gauges
  27. Motec M800 ECU

I had also fitted Tomei 280° Camshafts but due to some problem according to the tuner he had to remove them and put the Original Cams. After all of these modifications my Dyno result was 441.1 HP @ 6737 RPM & 381.8 Lb- Ft @ 5352 RPM with 95 Octane Fuel. I am going to drive this car like a maniac always in the 8000 RPM Range. I have kept the RPM Limiter to 10000 RPM. Now I would like to know whether its safe to keep 10000 RPM as my limit with these modifications or should I keep it less. This car is going to be used for Drag as well as Circuit Racing as well as a Daily Driver in Heavy Traffic. Is there any way I can increase my Torque and also I have installed Anti-Lag by Motec. Is there any other modifications I should go for? Also is there any Semi Automatic Transmission availiable for the Evo 7 ???

Thanking you,
Rishabh
Semi Automatic- yes get the Evo 7 GTA transmission.

Greddy T67? ur better using an HKS GT3240 or just get the Garrett 35R and customize the turbokit for it. if above 600awhp, a 3" downpipe may not be enough. go for 3.5 or 4.

Our Evo btw, is used in heavy traffic at least twice to three times a week tuned at 700+awhp.
