Heavy Modifications on my Evo 7
Hi guys,
this is my first post here. I am Rishabh from Mumbai, India. I finally went and bought myself an Evo 7 after waiting for 3 long years for the opportunity. It was tuned in Dubai and is on its way to Mumbai now. Well I would like to know if this setup is alright and to increase Torque what else should I do?
I had also fitted Tomei 280° Camshafts but due to some problem according to the tuner he had to remove them and put the Original Cams. After all of these modifications my Dyno result was 441.1 HP @ 6737 RPM & 381.8 Lb- Ft @ 5352 RPM with 95 Octane Fuel. I am going to drive this car like a maniac always in the 8000 RPM Range. I have kept the RPM Limiter to 10000 RPM. Now I would like to know whether its safe to keep 10000 RPM as my limit with these modifications or should I keep it less. This car is going to be used for Drag as well as Circuit Racing as well as a Daily Driver in Heavy Traffic. Is there any way I can increase my Torque and also I have installed Anti-Lag by Motec. Is there any other modifications I should go for? Also is there any Semi Automatic Transmission availiable for the Evo 7 ???
Thanking you,
Rishabh

a stroker would definetely give you the torque you are looking for.
good luck and get pics up of your car when you can, it sounds nice.

Well you have a built head which is good and it can handle some high revs... (9300 or so), but if you want it to last, I wouldnt reccomend playing that high unless necessary, its just a lot of stress.

10,000 rpm at 2.2 bar seems like a perfect recipe for disaster on 95 octane fuel. The Greddy T67 does not like big boost especially on a standard thrust bearing it has if not upgraded. Run a Tomei 2.2 or a Magnus/Buschur 2.3 stroker bottom end to get that torque. You can retro fit the automatic transmission from the Evo 7.5 GT-A which also works as a semi auto but its a lot of work to do.
For a big chunk of money you can get Tomei to supply you a completely built engine to your specifications. PM me if you need help to get that. THey can supply you the 2.2 stroker engine with your choice of camshafts.
