I can't make up my mind!!

Let me put on flame suit first..

I just spent last 3days searching for TBE for my 06 evo mr.
I am quite picky when it comes to exhaust and I just could't decide which one to go with. So I thought some of you experts could help me out a little..

Here are my requirements...
1. angled out tip that is at least 4"
2. 3" all the way
3. deep tone
4. nice looking muffler
5. great power gain
6. tip must stick out the bumper
7. titanium muffler

I searched and searched but found none that fit in all 7 categories..
well here they are
1. HKS carbon/ti - meets 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 but its not 3" all the way and the canister is not titanium.
2. Greddy ti - meets 2,3,4,5,7 but the angle isn't extreme and tip doesn't stick out the bumper..
3. angecy power ti- meets 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, but tip doesn't stick out..
4. magnaflow ti- meets 1,2,3,5,6,7 but i don't like the way muffler looks(too dull)
5. turboxs ti - meets 1,2,3,4,6,7 but resonator kills the flow..

Can't make up my mind!! arg!

You should do a search. Most of the jdm exhausts are going to be a tad short since they are made for the japan models. For what it's worth I have the magnaflow ti and love it. The only thing I would suggest is a carbon heat shield for the bumper.

I have the buschur downpipe and Hi flow cat mated with the RnR/HKS Carbon Titanium Catback exhaust. It has that JDM angle with 5" tip and protrudes far enough out from the bumper to where I don't get any of that black soot on my bumper and it sounds awesome.

The only problem is it took nearly 3 months to get my catback from RnR and it may not meet number 7 on your standards list.

Resonators don't effect the flow at all. They resonate vibrations carried through the piping but the inner diameter stays a true 3" with nothing to restrict any flow.

i heard the Fujitsubo resonators are created well, so it doesn't affect flow or anything and still gives good response and isn't too loud... but its bank for the full titanium...

I have the HKS carbon-ti. It's a full 3" exhaust with the flange tapered to fit the stock cat. It might rob you of 1 hp.

You are seriously putting too much thought into this. The carbon-ti has a titanium tip with carbon fiber around the muffler. IMO it's the best looking and one of the best sounding exhausts out for the EVO.

Buy the JIC Bullet with the titanium muffler.

j dog, if you used RnR piping for the catback instead of HKS's , I guess urs doesn't taper to 2.75"??? If that's the case, I might sacrifice my 7th standard and go with the HKS muffler, wutever 3" piping, cat delete, and 3" downpipe.

I like the way HKS carbon/ti looks the best so far as they are very angled with huge glazed out tip and sticks out the bumper the most imo.

Correct, mine doesn't taper to 2.75", it is 3" all the way. I love the way it looks and sounds!

I dont' like the way UR looks.

Anyway, J dog, I think I'll learn from you and go with your route.

I have a question though.
I dont' know exactly how 06 exhaust system is made of.
First downpipe, cat, catback piping, then muffler correct?
Then I would have to get a downpipe, cat delete pipe, buscher or RnR piping then carbon/ti muffler.
Would this fit on 06 mr with no problem?
I think I'll stay away from cat delete downpipe (1 piece) because I will put on stock cat on emmission test.
Thanks for your opinions, it really helped me make decision.

-Correct

-Correct, I'm not sure Buscher does a JDM angle so you might want to give them a call and find out, they are very helpful. Definitely go with the Buschur downpipe and cat delete, IMO very good pieces. RnR has a good price on the HKS/RnR Carbon Ti catback exhaust and that is the reason I went with them. I have had that piece for over a year now and I am very pleased with it. The only advice I would give to you, if you went with RnR for the catback, is to make sure that they guarantee the product is shipped in a reasonable time. It took me 3 months to get it from them.

Would this fit on 06 mr with no problem?
-It Should

I think I'll stay away from cat delete downpipe (1 piece) because I will put on stock cat on emmission test.
-Good decision
