CAM Gear settings for GT35

For that combination, I would try 0/-1. If you have a very good means of tuning, you could try +1/-1 as well. By making changes to the intake cam position in this direction, you will realize a choppier idle, but increased peak torque and quicker spool. You should not lose any peak hp, and from what I've seen, you may actually gain a bit.

I have them set at -4,-2 power is nice, 380whp on a mustang dyno on 91 oct. I am looking at full boost by around 4800 so wanted to see if I can get better spool with sacrifice up top. More suggestions?

Regardless, I definitely wouldn't recommend that setting you're using if you want decent spool characteristics.

The first being the intake the second the exhaust. What is the setting used for "decent spool"? I am not to savey on this as why I am asking for suggestions...

Right now my car is set to idle high and rich to keep it smooth-I hate WATCHING the fuel spit out the exhaust when sitting still. I'd rather it be lean and low. You think I can have a non-stalling aggressive sounding idle and not run so rich? I'll be using a certified EMS tuner.
What EMS are you using? If you add some timing at idle it smooths out the choppy idle alot and gives you back a bunch of vacumn. Just be sure to taper the additional timing off back to zero by 1750 rpm or so.
That is what I did on my car and it's much smoother.

yes I have crower springs and retainers. I really liked these cams on my stock turbo set up, not sure how they will do under this set up ... time will tell.
