Car is stalling for some reason...cold weather maybe?
Hi,
My car is having a bit of problems. It only has stalled once but it was really strange. I was coming out of 5th gear onto a ramp to a stop light. I put the clutch out, brought it into neutral and then the car just stalls. Anyone else have this occurance? Its winter in chicago so I suppose that could have something to do with it.
Also one other time iwas coming out of 5th again and braking and the car dropped in rpm to about 300 rpm and was basically about to stall. That time i had the radio on kinda high but thats about it.
Is my battery going or something? I dunno whats goin on, help please. My mods are ACT clutch(which doesnt feel very smooth anymore, but dunno that might have somethign to do with it), full exhaust, MR diverter valve, boost controller, basic dynoflash and lower IC pipe.
Thanks.
Also ive noticed( dunno if its important) that if i use my power windows or turn my steering wheel at a stop all the lights go dimmer. That normal?

Go to Radio Shack, buy a battery/alternator tester and test the car on, off, and on under load (stereo up, wheels cranked, etc...)
Sure, it could be a boost leak, but all the symptoms appear to be voltage related.
