In my galantvr4 poly mounts made a world of difference and after watching dozens of evo's on the dyno i'm sure this mount will be worth the trouble to change.
Thanks for reminding me. We will be having a Dyno Day on the 14th, so I will be sure to pay close attention to my engine movement (or lack thereof) as compared to other Evos that don't have this mount. I am normally in the car watching boost or logging timing, so I would have probably forgotten to even think about this had you not mentioned it. Thanks.

The motor mount bushings for the IX ARE the same as those for the VIII, so the Powerflex bushing will work on the IX's just the same.

good luck on the dyno day. i have always wondered if the car would pick up torque with this mod. it seems like a lot of twisting force is wasted before the motor stops moving. let us know what you find out.

I don't care about the vibrations, but the rattling noises bother me. How are the noises with the Powerflex bushing? I have Ingall's stiffy right now, and they're awesome, but when the car gets heated up after a long drive, you can feel the stock mounts turn to mush (it's still stiff, but you can tell).

It vibrates but really no rattling but rattling comes with time, you really won't notice that till you put a good amount of miles on the car.

I finally noticed the extra vibration today, but it wasn't until I had to sit in stop'n'go traffic for like 30 minutes. I haven't noticed any extra vibration while driving normally, driving hard, or cruising on the highway. It was just while sitting still for minutes on end. However, it didn't bother me in the least, but I did notice it.

Thoe, I noticed no rattling of anything...

Excellent, looks like I'll be ordering some motor mounts then....if only I can figure up some easy home-made way to rip the stock rubber out. Any suggestions.

Yea, but from what those others have said, it's a pain to knock out?

As I mentioned in another thread, there was one instance where we had the lower frame brace removed, the OEM bushing out using the screw driver and hammer method, and the new bushing in with everything reinstalled in about 20 minutes after the removal of the godforsaken undertray.

Not hard at all!

curious, was the AC on? (yes i know it's cold up there, but you might have had it on) Made a huge difference in my rsx.

Good writeup and pics.

Mike, we were very impressed with the mount. I know clayton has reported great feedback to us on the performance of it. Install with out a press is not all that bad, it just takes some "working" of the stock mount.

keep the great products coming guys.

I just installed my powerflex today and man... it was a ***** even with a press. The combo that ended up working consisted of a big ***, dump truck size socket to put in the middle of the mount and press the rubber down far enough to make the steel band want to slide down. If I just used the press the rubber would bend a good 6 inches and the steel band stayed secure.

Anyway, shifting is much much much much better now. I cant believe it. As you said the 6th speed shifts good as it is, but this makes it that much better.

The difference with this mount is incredible. Another thing I forgot to mention was that the stock bushing was so mushy and easy to move with my fingers. I couldn't believe it was that soft. The Forge MM has no give, though.
I am SO sold on this, link to a vender with the best price?
