do a search, it happens to all evos, its because of how far the motor/transmisstion move when you shift. it needs to have a forge or buschur front motor mount. to keep it from moving so far,

SushiSamurai, do yourself and all of us a favor and trade your Evo in for a Honda Civic DX. You're never-ending frowny faces, your constant new threads without ever participating in other threads or searching, and your constant basic questions are just wearing on me. Could you try to participate normally instead of using us as your personal encyclopedia. We are here to share information, yes, but we are not hear to be the personal slaves to your laziness.

After 132 post, could you please hit the right forum? I'm going to start deleting them when it is obvious (i.e. transmission) you didn't bother to place you post in the correct forum. Thanks.

Yes it is the synchros. If you have the 5 speed tranny, change out your tranny fluid with Pennzoil Synchromesh or BG sychroshift. They will definately help with the grinding, also remember to warm up your car before you start to shift like a maniac, it takes a while for the tranny fluid to warm up.

I brought my clutch peddle out a little -- seemed to make all the difference.

Slowing your shifts down and making them more deliberate couldn't hurt either. Good luck!
