I was wondering if anyone that has an MR if the 6th gear went out. this is the third time it went out. I rarely ever use this gear so i dont know why it keeps going out. gears 1-5 and reverse works fine is just that last gear. thanks...

Is Mitsu doing the work, and are they rebuilding the transmission or replacing it? That's probably the answer right there.

You car now qualifies as a lemon though, if you want to take advantage of that. Doesn't the lemon law state after three attempts to fix a problem, they dealership has to buy it back if the owner chooses so?

HAve them take it off under warranty. Have them ship it to TRE. Have TRE ship it back, and the dealer install it. SHould only cost $1000 since the dealer can cover labor. THis will solve your problem.

His car is not stock is the problem and any other dealer would have probably blamed the mods and refused the warranty work. But I have heard good things about TRE.
