For those running the Forge RS adj. recir. BOV

I’m currently running 25 psi with the 1G BOV uncrushed on alky. I know it’s recommended crushed for running high boost. I’m thinking of replacing the 1G with the Forge BOV. Anyone have experience going from the 1G to the Forge? I’m sure the forge would hold boost better and longer. Now that this valve has been out for a while, what’s everyone’s opion on it for those that have it? I’ve searched and read all the reviews still need more input on going from 1G to Forge RS. I regret I didn’t get in on the group buy a few months ago. Thanks

I love the RS valve. I switched from the 1G to the RS valve quite some time ago. This valve IMO is the best one I have used yet. Much more superior than the 1G valve. The ease of adjustability is awesome along with its great driveability.

Big thumbs up to Forge

JDM MR DV -> Forge RS DV (initial review)Those are my thoughts.

My next review will come after I get tuned for Alky on Sunday at 24-25psi like you are hoping to do. After that, my final review will be done when I've gone to the track and shown how well I can hold that 25psi with the adjustable knob cranked down fully for a drag run.

Warr on alky? Hmmm... Can't wait for this review. I'm sure it will be top notch as the rest have been. When i can find one for a decent price used, i may try it as well. Sorry to be OT.

Warrtalon, please do post your results. Is Al tuning your car for Alky? So have you decide whether to use meth or alchohol? Where I can I get a JDM MR DV? Is this thing plastic or metal? Sorry I haven't seen one yet. I need on with a 1G flange as I have BR's upper intercooler pipe. Thanks

I put mine in the other day and love it. I was having some surging issues when letting out the throttle in 4th, 5th gear. No surging or anything so far at 6 clicks on the BOV.

1) Yes, Al is custom road tuning me for the new SMC alky kit that I had installed last week by TheSpeedFactor along with the Buschur ported/coated 10.5/mani, Ebay o2 housing, and Forge WGA to help hold that 24-25psi longer...

2) I will do 100% denatured alcohol

3) You can get a JDM MR DV from NoLimitMotorsports here on EvoM (NoLimitMotors username). The JDM MR DV is metal, of course, which is why it's better than the stock plastic one on the VIIIs. It's also basically the same as the metal BOV on the IXs (lucky bastards). You could, however, just stick with the 1g metal BOV that comes on the BR UICP. It works just as well, especially when crushed...

I sell the RS at a very discounted rate - PM for details - its the best BOV period - works perfectly and is fully adjustable

I have silver and black in stock at all times

Hey Al could you do a quick comparison to the old recirc evo forge valve you used to sell. I have been thinking about upgrading to this valve but still love my current one. But I do like the idea of using this at the track for my race gas map like warrtalon will do.

Hey Warr, just curious. You seem to know alot about cars. How come you're letting shops install parts on your Evo? Is it because of sponsor issues? Or maybe you have deep pockets? I do appreciate your opinions though.
