How do I make my car go pssshhht!?

Just kidding, but this is yet another BoV question. I've done many searches but can't quite find the exact info I need and am getting mixed info. I bought my car used last week and it came with a HKS SSQV. It's not really my style to make a bunch of noise withoutit benefiting the car and in this case it's hurting it a bit. Overall the car drives and idles fine but I am getting some minor fluttering.

Having excercised my inner ricer in the last week or so I'm ready to do the right thing and recirculate. So my options stand at putting the stock BoV back in, I plan on boosting higher in the near furture so this seems out. Getting a recirculation kit for my existing HKS BoV. Or picking up a Forge BoV or JDM MR BoV. So my question is... if I go with the recirculation kit will it be as good as the Forge or MR Valve? I just don't want to spend the $40 on the recirc kit and not be happy only to buy a MR or Forge valve.

This thread is what's scaring me away from just getting the recirculation kit...

However I'm not having many problems with the VTA setup it should get better when I'm recirculating, right?

the recirculation won't help, I have done it before.

Were you having a lot of problems when it was VTA? I only ask because my issues with the HKS seem minor compared to what others are experiencing.

Hey welcome Ike. You already know my take on this from the RX-8 forums...the JDM MR BOV has done me well and is 100% OEM...but by all accounts I've read Forge makes a great recirculating piece. I actually had their VTA on my old SRT-4 (which has an ECU that doesn't use a MAF) and it was a beautifully engineered piece with a crisp powerful sound. Honestly I think either piece would be perfectly suited for anything the stock 16g can throw at it.

I have the Forge and it's great. Just get the MR, cheap and does the same.
