Bizarre - Boost Leak Fixed Itself??

For the last two months I have had a boost leak (normally boost 22 PSI falling to 20 PSI, with leak it was 19 PSI falling to 17 PSI) and couldn't boost higher than 19 PSI no matter what BOV or MBC setting I used or the weather conditions.

Last week, I saw a slight improvement and max boost jumped to 20 PSI. Then today, after several runs I was back to normal, boosting 22 PSI falling to 20 PSI, and able to boost higher (which I don't want to do on pump gas).

I have two boost gauges, an analog autometer and one on the Blitz turbo timer, and both have read consistently with each other the whole time.

The only thing I did before taking the car out was washing all the dust off of it. I'm quite perplexed.

Did you do a boost leak test the first timeto figure out if it was REALLY A BOOST LEAK? You can get kinda high boost spikes when its really cold.. so you'd have to do a real boost leak test inorder for your statment to be acruate.
