Lancer EVO 8 turbo timer

Whihc Turbo timer is the best for the EVO 8.
I have heard that we have to cut the harness, that is one thing I don't want to do right now...

Anyone...

yeah i had the same questions - im gona get the Greddy FAT in black and blue cuz it matches the interior perfectly but im kinda skeptical about having factory wires spliced into in order to wire up the timer.

Same here. I even heard that in order to install turbo timer we need to disable the keyless entry... hope that's not the true.

The 95-99 eclipse harness reportedly fits the evo 8 just fine. You dont need to mess with the keyless entry. The doors only unlock themselves if you have left your keys in the ignition, not if the car is running......just like DSMs.

turbotimer

Hi,

Tired of sitting in my evo waiting for the turbo to cool down.

I really like the looks of the Blitz TT, but the apexi looks small and convenient, and the greddy is being recommended.

If I’ve got it right, I can get a blitz tt which also shows boost levels as well as having two manual cooldown modes plus an automatic counter mode.

Please advise if there is a ready made harness for the EVO 8 and the Blitz TT.

{Please advise if there are any reliability or functiong issues with the blitz.

Thank you so much.

I have the HKS TT type 1 and mt-6 harness with a field harness so I didnt have to tap into the factory wires. It kicks *** and my keyless entry still works. Talk to rob(coolguy949) for all that stuff.

I got the Greddy TT with a 95-99 Eclipse harness after I got my Evo for a week. They work great and I installed it within 30 minutes.

I don't like the size of the mini-brick TTs. I like the apexi's pencil like read out and the blitz TT FATT two-piece design with a small read out.

Any problems with the blitz's?

I really like small.

Plus, is there an excellent mount spot? I was thinking atop the steering wheel shield would be good. Or, between the stereo and the A/C vents. Nice strip right there.

Any thoughts? R

The HKS MT-6 harness will fit in the Blitz timers fine for the evo. I have some harnesses left if you cant find them anywhere else (not allowed to advertise myself on the forums since i'm not a paid vendor). My online store will be up very soon then I'll open up a membership to sell here...

This is the best spot to put your TT so it is not easy to be seen by others, just my .02.
