Boost control

So I need a little help and before you ask, yes I have searched.

First I have recently bought a TurboXS HPMBC (this is most likely the foremost problem) I have spent the few days tuning it and have recieved little to no succuss. I have also tried both boost sources (turbo nipple, and intake manifold) with no difference. It holds nicely at 21psi up to about 5500rpm then the wastegate opens and boost falls to 12psi.

I am going to go back to the stock boost control solenoid for the time being until I get a new MBC or go EBC. The only question is that I have forgotten which nipple on the stock boost control solenoid is for the wastegate and which is for the boost source.

I apprecieate your help, thanks!!

front, boost source (nipple under intake pipe)
back, wastegate and turbo outlet nipple [plugged into the nipple closer to the MAS plug]

get a hallman

Hmm, unless I'm confused by your question, then what you're asking is not valid. The BCS has one nipple (towards the front bumper) for the long hose that leads to the tee that splits off to the WG and turbo. The other nipple (towards the firewall) is for the hose that goes to the nipple on the underside of the intake. You should not be trying to connect the BCS to the WG _and_ boost source.

Make sure you use the EXACT factory boost lines when going back to stock boost control, otherwise it won't work.

Good news, In Cincinnati we had a meet tonight and I talked to a guy that has the same MBC I have, he told me to loosen the fine adjustment to 2 and a half turns ( I had mine at 2) and that made a world of difference, holds boost at 21 all the way to redline!!!

The BCS on my car faces directly to the engine block. And it has two nipples, I'm not sure what happened there but everything is working better than stock for now.

Yes, there are 2 nipples, as I said - they are side-by-side with one being closer to the firewall and the other closer to the front bumper. They do not, however, get the WGA and Compressor connections...in case you ever have to use them again.

Btw, it's good to hear your TXS MBC is working, but it's generally considered the worst MBC for the Evo, so keep an eye on it.

I have heard this plenty of times since I bought it. And I've also heard that if tune it the right way It will work just fine. I understand your post better now about which nipple is which. I will keep an eye on it though.
