How necessary to install forged rods over 350 WHP
How necessary to install forged rods over 350 WHP
Questions for the evo gurus
is it too common to bend a rod past 350 WHP on a VII, VIII or a IX evo????
is it safe or it's better changing them if you want that or more power???
ohhh, one more thing, how about the pistons???? how many HP's can them hold???
Waiting for answeres.
Thanks.

You can probably kill the rods at stock HP if you try revving to 9000+ rpm regularly and you can easily grenade the pistons at stock whp with too little fuel and too much timing, but if you have a sensible rev limit and a good tune, you can easily do 350 whp on the stock motor.
