I recently installed the WORKS 30% short shifter with the Kartboy 8pc shifter bushing set.

Definately more direct than the factory. Takes a little more effort to get into gear, but its not as difficult as some others (various threads, not just here) have made it seem. I personally would recommend it as I do love my mine.

a little off topic but related...are you using the stock shift knob, I have the works counterweight shift knob and is a much easier throw now than when I had the stock shift knob on the works short throw. I didn't think the throw was all that much harder than when stock though

It was recomended to get the -30% throw b/c teh 15% wasn't enough of a change

Yes, and unfortunately, they havent got any in stock yet.

As for the feel: definately more effort than stock. Not much, but there is a difference. It does not matter to me at all, but I pointed it for others... as not everyone wants the "modified" feel.
