search newbie.

There have been numerous threads LATELY on this subject, ever since Bushcur posted his results of the Ebay housing.

You're just being lazy and wasting all of our time while trying to save some of yours. Collectively, you owe us about $975.34 per second the forum reads your lame post. Pay up or search! Don't be part of the problem by adding another useless thread next time someone wants to search "02 housing", just because you're lazy.

Damn, I'm a newbie myself, and people are pretty damn harsh on here. Jeez!

Settle down people. That's why they call 'em newbs. It's not like you're actually paying for each post.

re-read the orignal post. It's obvious by his own admission, he didn't even attempt a search. I'm interested in having my stock manifold ported and a tubular 02 housing installed. But yet, this is one more thread that will waste my time trying while searching, to get the forum's input on if this is a good mod, and who to buy the parts from.

And the purpose of my response(s) to this thread isn't to save my time on this particular search (because it's obvious I'm wasting time responding to this garbage), but to save me time in the future with my next 10 searches.

Make that quadruple (almost quintuple) the price for no additional gain, but at least it's strong. The fact that it requires you to do their DP, which is also incredibly expensive is a clever marketing move, but I can't imagine that being appealing to most people.

yes it is more money. as for fitment. it works with the stock d/p and i have seen in here somewhere that it works with other d/p's as well but i cant remember what ones they were. i know one of them had to be moded but not that much. i also got there 76mm dp just to play it safe.

What made you choose those for around $700+ instead of the many other items out there that make as much power or more and for less than half the cost? Just wondering what drew you to those, especially when you haven't even seen proof of power gains on the o2...

There are no fitment/install issues with the Ebay 02, nor most downpipes, assuming you properly choose the ones that fit, if you have a 2005 lets say.

Works 02+DP=$820
Ebay 02+DCsport DP = $335

The only thing your getting for that extra $500 is POTENTIAL reliability, thats it. We know cast is obviously stronger than the steel 02s, however, yet not one 02 has cracked. And even if it did, you can buy 5 more Ebay ones and it still wont match up to the Works price.

I like the Works peice but since it offers no power gains or better fitment over the Ebay one and you must run their expensive downpipe, it ends up being a ridiculously costly operation. Ill stick with my Ebay 02.

We have been selling many of the Helix O2 housing over the years without any issues. I personally track my car with the Helix and noticed a much better throttle response.

Helix o2 and Maxford header special:

Thanks,
Tom
