The TME comes with a 10.5.
The reason to get the TME is to improve spool whereas just the 10.5 will actually hurt spool slightly but improve top end.

Give us some background. What are your goals?

Just go with a ported 10.5 or even a regular 10.5 housing. The TME will not yield any extra power than the stocker with a 10.5 housing. It will just spool a few hundred RPMS sooner. Based on the cost of each I say go with the housing. Its almost 1/4 the price as the TME.

When you buy the TME you get the 10.5 housing thus you'll have more top end but the TME upgrade will spool the turbo faster thus more power sooner. My vote is TME turbo unless you plan on different turbo down the road.

Both the TME or 10.5 housing will get you about the same HP. The TME will have slightly better spool. I recommend if your going to get either one you also get a O2 housing to maximize exhaust flow. I got the 10.5/O2 housing because it was cheaper than the TME and gets the same performance. I'm planning to upgrade to a Buscher 20G-9 turbo which is about the same price.

Yes you may want to consider a 20G-9 I believe Buschur has already made some with the TME upgrade as well im not sure of the performance though.

Just FYI, the JDM EVO IX turbo has both a larger compressor and turbine side than the TME turbo.

Cheers,
