The wait is killing me! I will be getting the car tuned next Thursday (4/13) since that was the first open slot that I could make with TXS. I still haven't felt the car at WOT so I can't really even comment on how the car feels. I will have sheets and numbers that night for everyone.

I will say that the drivablility of the car is phenominal! 45mph in 5th gear @ 2000RPM...smooth as butter. No shuddering, no bucking, no nothing. The car really drives like a STi right now.

Now just to figure out what turbo I want to put on the car.

50 trim (Too small?)
3065 (bad match for a car only on 93?)
3076 (???)
35R (laggy for a roadcourse and surge issues?)

Just got back from getting tuned at TurboXS and they are a pretty good group of guys. Germain was very helpful in answering all of my questions and explained everything.

Now for the numbers! I went very conservative with the stock turbo and only ran a max of 21psi with conservative timing. The car pulls like a bat out of hell and feels great. I can't wait to get to play with it a bit more but I got stuck in traffic on 95S at 10:30PM

Everything was done on straight 93 pump.

Let me know what you think.

Congrats! JAM looks like a solid shop. Good choice.

Go enjoy your new stroker for a couple of weeks and then put a 3076 on it and have some REAL fun!

Now for some info about the session:

The stock injectors were left in to see just how they would perform with a stroker. The result, NOT GOOD!!! I ran out of injector at 308hp and my duty cylcles were at 90%+

After seeing that I immediately pulled the car off the dyno and swaped in the 780cc injectors and I had duty cycles in the 50-60% range. No IDC were over 62%.

Timing was very conservative the whole time and never added more then 6* on the maps. We did have to pull a ton of fuel on the trim maps to keep the 780s under control. Knock was virtually non-existant the entire time which made me very happy. I now have a very safe tune (run daily on map 2) and a whole host of more aggressive maps that I won't be running daily.

Once I get the bigger turbo (AMS 50 trim, SBR 3076, BR 35R) I will start looking into AI to make it worth it.

Your right, he posted the wrong springs, we used our dual springs instead to prevent any valve train issues like coil bind.
Thank you for pointing that one out!

Go with the 35r, you will be happy and spoolup shouldnt be a problem with your stroker.

Too late, I already bought the AMS 50 Trim kit. I don't have it installed but I sure does look pretty sitting on a table in the basement.

Once the 50Trim goes on I will update this thread with numbers.

i have the jam 2.3 (oliver rod &venolia )with a cosworth head and 35r.
the thing is great. I made 400 on pump 506 with meth and 570 on c16 @32psi.
Jam does great work and i would recomend them to anyone . Carmela is a great person she did alot for me because of being stationed in the sandbox.

Is it just me? Or do those numbers sound low to anyone else? I would expect each of them to be at least 50hp higher with that kind of setup. (assuming std mods like cams, injectors, exhaust, fmic, etc.)

Sorry, I always talk in terms of MD numbers. If it were a DJ, I would expect 75 or 100 more.

Am I off base?
