Fuel pump

Well ive been debating a walbro, but im up in the air?? as you know it seems like you get a different idea from every tuner as they all have there own proven ways. I was looking around different places and stumbled on WORKS, witch seem to be quality product. I ordered there DV and panel filter, and saw there walbro was on sale for a reasonable price.. after talking with AL he claims a fuel pump will help, but WORKS web site says its not necessary until 400whp....

can some of you chime in with some thought!!

TIA

Would you rather not get it, and "wished" you would have later while talking to your engine re-builder?

I can think of a LOT of things from Works that aren't necessary before or after 400whp, but suggesting against an $85 piece of engine insurance really irks me. Stock injectors? Sure. Stock fuel pump? Uhhhhh, not if you have an VIII.

Oh, that was quick. Remember that it requires a retune, which is why I include it in my stg2 along with the flash instead of after the fact.

Yeah, definitely. The fuel pump throws off the fuel settings. It will make you noticably more rich, but not as much as a set of injectors.

It is fine without a retune... just not optimum. You will run pretty rich...
